Caroline built Bolt PR from the ground up and has worked with clients to drive long-term business growth in industries ranging from technology, travel, hospitality and health and fitness, to education, retail, marketing and community service. During her career, Caroline has helped organizations appear on the front cover of magazines, on national morning and evening news programs, in newspaper business features and on high-profile news sites. Caroline’s work has resulted in high-profile media placements in outlets such as Buzzfeed, Forbes, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Good Morning America, E! News and ABC World News, to name just a few.
Prior to establishing Bolt PR, Caroline worked in-house at The Active Network, Inc., overseeing the community, education and government services divisions, as well as the active.com property. She also worked as the PR Director at Carillon ERP, as well as at Vollmer PR, which was later acquired by Edelman.
Caroline graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in public and interpersonal communications. Today, Caroline is an executive board member for Melvin Ingram’s Mission Possible Foundation. Caroline has served on several boards and is an active philanthropist.
Jo-Anne Coombes, vice president, email@example.com
Jo-Anne joined Bolt PR as vice president in February 2011. She has led media relations and digital marketing campaigns for small businesses, Fortune 500 companies and celebrity endorsees. Her clientele ranges from local startups and nonprofits to national and international brands, with her work resulting in high-profile placements such as the New York Times, USA Today, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, O, the Oprah Magazine, The TODAY Show, CNN and Entertainment Tonight. Her accomplishments have earned national recognition in the PR industry, including two Bronze Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America and two finalist recognitions for The Holmes Report’s SABRE Awards, as well as numerous honors in the Triangle community.
Jo-Anne previously worked at French/West/Vaughan, where she was responsible for the development of national campaigns. Jo-Anne also previously worked at Providence Software Solutions where she managed the technology company’s internal, direct-to-consumer and media communications, and at Triangle PR, where she assisted in public relations efforts for small businesses in the Raleigh-Durham area.
Raised in upstate New York, Jo-Anne moved south to attend North Carolina State University, where she graduated with a degree in public relations and a minor in Spanish.
