Since the beginning of my career, I have been passionate about methodological development to improve biomedical devices and signal processing, as well as the clinical applications that drive those advancements. After obtaining my Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Sapienza, University of Rome, I joined the Napadow Lab to strengthen my knowledge in pain neuroimaging, integrative medicine, and clinical trials. Since I joined the SRH/HMS faculty, I have built my main expertise at the intersection of brain imaging, social science, and pain medicine, developing a unique skill set, including hyperscanning data acquisition and analysis (the technique that allows for the observation and study of multiple brains at the same time). The combination of multiple-brain acquisition techniques and advanced neuroscientific tools for their analysis has opened the door to studying how the brain behaves in social contexts across different interpersonal interactions. Building on findings from my group’s previous projects and the data acquired during my post-doc, I am invested in shedding light on the brain mechanisms underlying the patient-clinician relationship during and after the clinical encounter.

Other interests include non-invasive brain stimulation, EEG-based neurofeedback, and psychedelic-assisted therapy for chronic pain.

Harvard Catalyst

Google Scholar

Research Gate

Github

Curriculum Vitae

Contact Information

aanzolin@mgh.harvard.edu

People Role

Junior Faculty

Instructor, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital I am a junior faculty at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH) where I am leading several projects with both healthy subjects […]

["post-517","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
